Questions Before You Join the Mission?

Find clear answers about the monthly products, exclusive files, commercial-use rights, laser compatibility, tested starting settings, billing, shipping, and account management.

01

About the Subscription

What Laser Loot Box is, who it is for, and what the monthly mystery actually means.

What is Laser Loot Box?

Laser Loot Box is a monthly product-development subscription for laser owners who sell products or want to begin selling. Each mission includes a coordinated physical assortment, exclusive digital files, commercial-use rights for finished physical products, tested starting settings, and a digital Mission Briefing.

How much does Laser Loot Box cost?

Laser Loot Box costs $49 per month plus shipping and applicable tax.

Is this a recurring subscription?

Yes. Your first payment is collected when you subscribe. Your subscription then renews automatically each month until you cancel. Your next scheduled renewal is shown in your customer account.

Is every month a mystery?

The exact physical contents are typically kept secret until the mission ships. We may share the broad product niche, techniques, clues, supported laser categories, or business applications before the monthly deadline.

Past Missions are available so new subscribers can see the quality, variety, and types of opportunities explored in previous boxes.

Who is Laser Loot Box designed for?

Laser Loot Box is built primarily for laser owners who already sell finished products or want to begin selling. It can also be useful for experienced hobbyists who enjoy testing new products, materials, and techniques.

Is this only for established businesses?

No. The subscription is designed for established product sellers and laser owners preparing to launch a business. You should already have basic familiarity with operating your specific machine safely.

Is Laser Loot Box a beginner laser course?

No. The Mission Briefing provides product, material, and process guidance, but it is not a replacement for your machine manual, manufacturer training, ventilation requirements, or learning how to operate your laser safely.

02

Physical Box Contents

What may arrive, how quantities work, and what the box is really designed to help you do.

What is included in every monthly box?

Every mission includes a coordinated selection of laser-ready products, materials, components, or accessories centered on one product niche or theme. Exact quantities, sizes, and product types change from month to month.

Every paid mission also includes exclusive digital files, commercial-use rights for finished physical products, tested starting settings, compatibility notes, and a digital Mission Briefing.

Will every box contain raw sheet materials?

Not necessarily. Some missions may focus on cuttable sheet materials. Others may include engravable products, coordinated accessories, product components, specialty supplies, packaging, display pieces, tools, or products that work together as a sellable collection.

Are the products full-size?

Most items are functional blanks, usable materials, or complete project components rather than tiny display swatches. Exact sizes and quantities vary by mission and are listed in the Mission Briefing.

Will I receive enough products to sell?

Laser Loot Box is designed primarily for testing, product development, sample creation, and evaluating a product niche. Some included items may be sold individually, but the box is not intended to provide full production inventory.

The bigger goal is to help you decide what is worth reordering in larger quantities for your own business.

Are the products random?

No. Each mission is built around a coordinated theme or product opportunity. Items may be used individually, combined into a bundle, or evaluated for retail, gifting, craft-show, seasonal, custom-order, or B2B sales.

Can I reorder products I like?

When a reliable source or refill option is available, the Mission Briefing may identify a recommended purchasing path. Product availability, supplier terms, minimum quantities, and pricing may change after the mission is released.

Will themes or products ever repeat?

The goal is to explore fresh product niches and techniques. A category may return when there is a meaningful new angle, material, process, or sales opportunity, but the mission should not simply repeat the same box.

03

Digital Files and Commercial Use

What you receive, what you may sell, and what cannot be shared or resold.

Are exclusive digital files included every month?

Yes. Every monthly Laser Loot Box mission includes exclusive digital files created for that mission. The files are a guaranteed part of the subscription, not an occasional bonus.

What types of files may be included?

Depending on the mission, the digital package may include cutting files, engraving layouts, product designs, personalization elements, print files, jigs, templates, assembly guides, or setup files.

What file formats are included?

Our standard laser file formats are SVG, AI, and DXF. PNG print files, layout jigs, templates, or other supporting files may be included when they are relevant to the mission.

Can I sell products made with the included files?

Yes. Your paid mission includes commercial-use rights for the finished physical products you create using the included files. You may sell those finished products through your shop, website, events, custom orders, or business-to-business work.

Can I modify or personalize the files?

Yes. You may resize, recolor, personalize, or modify the files as needed to create finished physical products. Modified digital versions may not be sold, shared, uploaded, traded, or distributed.

Can I sell or share the digital files?

No. You may not sell, share, redistribute, trade, upload, transfer, or give away the original files or altered digital versions. You may not place them in shared drives, memberships, groups, courses, design libraries, or digital bundles.

Can another business use my files?

The files are licensed to the purchasing subscriber or business for its own finished-product production. They may not be transferred to another independent business for that business to use, keep, or sell from.

Do I keep access to files after I cancel?

You may continue using the files from missions you purchased, subject to the commercial-use license. Cancellation ends future billing and access to future missions. Save your mission files and supporting information according to the download instructions provided with each purchase.

Where can I read the full commercial-use license?

Read the complete terms on the Laser Loot Box Commercial-Use License page. The plain-language summary on this FAQ does not replace the full license terms.

04

Lasers, Compatibility, and Settings

How the box works across different machines and what tested starting settings really mean.

Which laser types are supported?

Laser Loot Box is developed with diode, CO2, fiber, and UV laser owners in mind. Compatibility changes with each mission because materials and products respond differently to laser type, wavelength, and power.

Will every product work with every laser?

No. Not every product or material is compatible with every laser type, wavelength, power level, or ventilation setup. The Mission Briefing identifies known compatibility, limitations, and tested starting points when available.

Never process an unfamiliar product based only on appearance. Confirm the material is appropriate for your equipment before testing.
Why do you ask which lasers I use?

Your response helps us understand the subscriber base and prioritize useful compatibility notes, tests, and educational content. Unless a product listing specifically states otherwise, selecting a laser type does not guarantee that every physical item in the box will work with that machine.

Are the included settings guaranteed?

No. They are tested starting settings based on results from representative machines in the Kim and Garrett Make It shop. Results vary because of machine calibration, actual output, lens condition, focus, air assist, maintenance, ventilation, software setup, and differences between material batches.

What does “tested starting settings” mean?

Kim and Garrett test products and materials in their working shop and document the machine, laser type, settings, process notes, and observed results. This gives you a more informed starting point than beginning with a blank screen.

It reduces blind guessing. It does not eliminate the need to test your own machine.

What should I do if my exact machine is not listed?

Choose the closest comparable test based on laser type, wavelength, and wattage. Begin conservatively, test a small area, and adjust from there. Refer to your machine manufacturer’s guidance when processing unfamiliar products or materials.

Do I still need to run a material test?

Yes. Always test before production. Record the settings that work best on your machine so you can repeat the result later.

Does the box include safety information?

The Mission Briefing may include known compatibility notes and cautions, but you remain responsible for operating your equipment safely, confirming material composition, following manufacturer instructions, and using appropriate ventilation and fire-safety procedures.

05

Billing and Account Management

Renewals, failed payments, skipping, pausing, cancellation, and changes to your subscription.

When am I charged?

Your first payment is collected when you subscribe. Future payments are collected automatically according to the renewal schedule shown at checkout and in your customer subscription account.

How do I see my next renewal date?

Log into the customer account connected to the email address used for your subscription. Your subscription portal should display the next scheduled order and renewal date.

How do I skip an upcoming box?

Log into your customer account, open your active subscription, and select the option to skip the upcoming order before it renews. Once an order has renewed and entered processing, a skip generally applies to the following mission.

How do I pause my subscription?

Log into your customer account and choose the pause option when available. Your account will show whether billing is paused indefinitely or scheduled to resume on a specific date.

How do I cancel?

Log into your customer account and cancel before the next renewal. You will still receive any mission that was already charged before cancellation. Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund an order already in processing.

Can I subscribe for only one month?

Laser Loot Box is sold as a recurring monthly subscription. You may cancel future renewals through your customer account after purchasing, but any mission already charged will still be processed under the posted subscription terms.

Can I change the laser types listed on my account?

Contact customer support when your equipment changes or when you need to update your laser information. This helps us keep compatibility guidance and subscriber research useful.

What happens if my payment fails?

The subscription system may retry the payment and notify you by email. Update your payment information promptly to avoid missing the monthly mission. A box cannot be reserved indefinitely when payment remains unsuccessful.

Can you cancel or refund a subscription after it renews?

Once a monthly order has renewed and entered processing, cancellation normally applies to future renewals. Contact customer support immediately when you believe a renewal was processed in error. Refund eligibility is governed by the posted Subscription Terms and Refund Policy.

06

Shipping, Delivery, and Support

Shipping windows, tracking, address changes, missing packages, and damaged items.

When will my box ship?

The subscription deadline and expected shipping window for the current mission are displayed on the Laser Loot Box product page. Because each month is packed as a coordinated mission, boxes do not necessarily ship immediately after the order is placed.

How will I receive tracking?

Tracking is sent to the email address connected to your order when the shipping label is created. Allow time for the carrier to receive and scan the package before tracking begins to update.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated during checkout based on the destination and available carrier service. The $49 subscription price does not include shipping or applicable tax.

Can I change my shipping address?

Update your address through your customer or subscription account before the monthly order enters fulfillment. Address changes made after packing or label creation may not apply to the current shipment.

Updating an address in a payment service or on a separate Shopify order may not update the active subscription automatically. Confirm the address shown inside the subscription portal.

What should I do if an item arrives damaged or is missing?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and clear photos of the shipping box, shipping label, internal packaging, and damaged item when applicable. For a missing item, include a photo of everything that arrived in the box.

What happens if tracking says delivered but I cannot find the package?

Check the delivery location, household members, neighboring addresses, building office, parcel locker, and any carrier delivery photo. Carriers occasionally mark packages delivered shortly before final drop-off. When the package still cannot be located, contact the carrier and then send us the order and tracking details so we can review the next steps.

What happens if a package is lost in transit?

Contact us when tracking has stopped updating beyond the carrier’s normal delivery window. We may ask you to confirm the shipping address and cooperate with a carrier claim before a replacement or other resolution can be determined.

Do you ship internationally?

Available shipping destinations are shown during checkout. When international shipping is available, the customer is responsible for applicable duties, taxes, brokerage fees, import restrictions, and delays caused by customs.

How do I contact Laser Loot Box support?

Use the Contact page and include the email address used for your order, your order number when available, the mission month, and a clear description of the issue. Include photos for damaged, missing, or product-specific concerns.

Still Need Help?

Send Us the Details, Not Just “It Doesn’t Work.”

Include your order number, mission month, laser type, product, settings used, and any error message or photos. More detail helps us give you a useful answer instead of playing twenty questions by email.
