Turn a Successful Test Into Inventory
Birch and MDF for Mission 008 came from Swift Fox Laser Co. The clear acrylic came from Houston Acrylic. When something earns a place in your lineup, use the same material sources to move from testing into production.

Not Every Item Is for Every Laser
Summerween includes birch, MDF, clear acrylic, aluminum, and fabric. Confirm the material and the process before firing the laser.
CO₂
Strong option for cutting and engraving the birch and MDF, and engraving the pre-cut clear acrylic nightlight insert.
Diode
Useful for birch and MDF. The clear nightlight insert arrives pre-cut so diode users can engrave it without needing to cut clear acrylic.
Fiber
Not recommended for the birch workflow. Fiber may be useful for compatible metal personalization such as the flashlight depending on your machine and coating.
UV / UV Printing
Useful for specialty marking or full-color personalization when the selected surface and process are compatible.
Start With What We Already Know
Birch and MDF are not new to the K&G lab. Instead of starting from zero every time a familiar material appears, use previous testing as your baseline and verify the result on the material in this box.
1/8" Birch
Birch is used in Mission 008 for Candy Creepers, Creepy Cemetery Nightlight layers, and portions of the Wiggle Bottom Nightmare Gang.

1/8" MDF
The Summerween Wiggle Bottom kits and Creepy Shadow Boxes use familiar 1/8" MDF. We already have cut and engraving data for this material.

View MDF Settings →4.25" Pre-Cut Clear Acrylic
The Creepy Cemetery Nightlight uses a 4.25" pre-cut clear acrylic insert sourced from Houston Acrylic.
Diode users generally cannot cut clear acrylic directly, but both diode and CO₂ users can engrave the supplied insert. Pre-cutting the blank lets more subscribers complete the nightlight project.
Summerween engraving test cards are being documented for this specific acrylic workflow.
